The land of Cóng Manaar was created and thrived under the protection and tutelage of their gods – the Dragon Lords of Cóng Manaar. Cóng Manii legend dictates that the human children were born of the Cóng Manii as part of a great plan of their fathers. They believe that the gifts of magic were squandered, bastardized, and misused – and the human children grew along unplanned paths. The word Human or Humanii means, quite literally in the Cóng Manii tongue: HU (children) Manii (children of).

The Human Chieftain Bregor and his siblings, Aëthelgrim, Arwic, and Surin, gathered their people to wage a war of separation. Despite their kind’s long-standing relocation across the sea to another land and their autonomous existence, the burning desire for absolute freedom overwhelmed all reason. Aethelgrim led the mightiest warriors against the formidable wind serpent Va’Laa’Kaaiir and her brother Taan’Pat, the Dragon Lord of the Storms. Bregor’s dark brother Arwic, his minions, and fierce archers embarked on a mission to destroy Laas Va’iir in her ocean lair. Subsequently, they defiled and annihilated the Dragon Mother Lagii in the northern region. Finally, Surin rode her horsemen against the mighty Earth Dragon Lord Laarg in his mountain domain, ultimately defeating and killing him amidst the rocky crags. The climactic battle, which would later be known as “The Great Fall,” unfolded north of the Great Oak Forest. As the sun descended upon the blood-soaked battlefield, King Bregor, the Warrior Bear, emerged victorious and slew the Dragon Father Tagaar. His blood flowed into the inland font, seeping down into the Mage Source. As Lagii lay dying, miles away from her mate, tears streamed down her darkening eyes, forming a great path and merging with the blood of Tagaar.

The time of mankind began with the Great Fall. Life in Cóng Manaar would never quite be the same. From that day, the humans would mark their days as AB (after Bregor).

In the years to follow, there would be seven great wars with Cóng Manii and countless skirmishes and attacks. The Cóng Manii Empire was forced to retreat westward beyond the Ka Faziir Mountains in order to maintain security. The east of the continent falls to tribal rule and burgeoning trade avenues. In 1489 AB, King Garlas II of Nyveria became quite ill. His wife Mercissa being childless, the throne was to go to Chancellor Markus, son of the king’s sister Salenna and her husband Ludrinus of Stagbury. After the King’s passing late in that year, preparations were made to move the four-year-old Markus to the Citadel of Kings to begin his Passage of Succession. But within three days of the king’s passing, the bells rang out from the towers of the Cathedral of Bregor. A gift was given to the people – Queen Mercissa was with child. The passing king has bestowed his blessing before his death. It was heralded as a sign from Bregor. His will be done….

1505 – Karafas once again sent armies to Cóng Manaar, but landed at Ravenal Tor and travelled through the Wyvern’s Gate. The Nyverian forces succeed in burning the Cóng Manii stronghold at Bakaden, and laying waste to the surrounding villages and farmland. Both sides suffer great casualties. The cousin of the Cóng Manii Emperor was lost in the battle.

Brothers of Pain overthrow church officials and – by order of King Markus – place the iron crown of Arwic at the alter of the cathedral at Bregor. Those in holy service of Bregor dismembered, cooked and fed to King. Massive hordes of undead were sent as a first attack in what became known as the “Dark Wave."

1535 - Dunbach King Arsistal and the entire royal family beheaded as the final Dunbach regiment fell. The Black Regiment raised the Nyverian flag over the royal palace.

1536 – King Markus commanded Pontifex Magwyn from seclusion to officiate over his rebirth. On the black alter, before the collected lords of Nyveria, King Markus sodomized the Pontifex. In public view, Magwyn transformed into a withered hag, proclaiming herself “Arwic’s Whore” henceforth to be called Higretch. A thick, oily mass of clouds fell over the cathedral and King Markus donned the iron crown of Arwic. With an iron rigging hook he gouged his eyes from their sockets. Moments later, the bleeding wounds filled with flame. The King was reborn as the father of necromancers and son of Arwic, Lord of Despair.

1537 – The Nyerian army landed at Pygan Sorl, taking the city under Nyverian control. The walled fortified city is held for seven days before dwarven forces regained control. The retreating army set sail and returned to Nyveria, leaving behind a group of necromancers to infiltrate the court of Garten Forge.

1538 – In an attempt to assassinate King Goldenab of Garten Forge, the Chieftain of Clan Bargolt – son of the king – is poisoned at the high feast table. The Brothers of Pain are discovered and executed. The remains were sent back to King Markus in a fine wooden box depicting the terrible event in an ornate carving on its lid.

1539 – 1540 – The Plague of Many sweeps the countryside. Thousands of Nyverians fell sick and rotted in a painful living death. The only way to end the tortured ill was to burn them to death. King Markus declared the taking of wood forbidden upon pain of death. Only the wealthy and those loyal to the king were permitted to “take to the flame.”

1541 – Baroness Ulier and Prince Kastigan escape and flee to Yagunal, seeking refuge with tribes along the Tears of Lagii.

In the great Battle of Angwan Moon, Emperor Ra’iir led a massive army of Cóng Manii warriors and jesai (priests), driving the invading forces across the Isle of the Burnt Paw, through Amendar, and into the sea. As the returning forces landed at Arwic’s Cradle, a rogue regiment of Dunbach swordsmen ambushed the king's party. Markus’s forces retreated to Stagbury, where they met with a dominant army of dwarves from Garten Forge and a force of elite Cóng Manii warriors led by the warlord General Arbras. King Markus of Nyveria was killed at the Battle of Stagbury Tor. Royal Mapmaker was arrested, and the Brothers of Pain were imprisoned for war crimes, acts of cruelty, and treason. Tribunals formed. Though victorious, the dwarven home island was decimated by the forced breach of the Mage Source, brought about by the dark priests of the Brothers of Pain, by a fracture of the Veneer and a massive “energy” reaction. The Wyrld is shaken. The citizens of all nations are stunned by the Great War and the tide of cruelty and death. A period of healing begins.

1565 – Reconstruction is initiated en masse by a newly cooperative confederation of world leaders.

1570 – Interim government forms at the behest of the Corpesian representatives.

1577 – Interim government solidifies, and the Aragos Triumvirate is formed. Citizens of Cóng Manaar, Nyveria, and Dunbachmor choose representatives to act as governors and heads of state to guide the fledgling government.

Advanced agricultural technology has enabled a remarkable 400% increase in food production. Moreover, medical advancements have effectively eradicated many of the previously known diseases. Rapid advances move at an astounding rate, jump-starting development in materials production, urbanization, transportation, communications, space travel, computer technology, etc. The Aragosian currency is now based on Corpesian technology. Citizens receive personal credit markers to track their financial status.

The Aragos Defense Force is established. Shortly after the Aragos Space Authority is established and the universal police agency – the Black Watch, based on the legendary Dunbach regiment—the Black Watch is the model for the constabulary unit structure, given a wide range of duties in keeping the peace in the space lanes and interstellar trade jurisdictions.

1607 – The Corpesians disappear from Aragos, never to be heard from again.

1609 – The Corpesian base of operations discovered in the north—Corpesian Sector 01—known in the colloquial as “Aethelgrim’s Keep." Later that year, explorers discover Sector 02 and 04 to the east and west of Sector 01.

1610 – Explorers discover Sectors 06 and 05, known in the colloquial as “Cóng Galgaa.”

1611- Discovery of encrypted data collection detailing an incomplete procedure in the construction of an artificial life form known as an android. This data leads scientists to discover an incomplete prototype named Taamur. Government scientists "apprehend all data regarding Project Taamur for further investigation.

1623 – Space Station Stagbury 1 brought into service. The first space patrol vehicle was adopted by the APC.

1625 – First contact with the Pharisai of the planet Pharis.

1655 – Introduction of the Lorcan 200 Fighter, adopted as Black Watch patrol cruisers.

1662 – Praemos Station brought into service. Only two of the twelve operational sectors are utilized. Groundbreaking Corpesian technology is employed to power the massive station. The Singularity Drive incorporates the operation of a contained artificial black hole. Against much protest, all systems engaged without incident, and all safety protocols were considered effective.

Introduction of the Lorcan 300 Fighter, adopted as Black Watch patrol cruisers.

1675 – In a strategic sabotage operation, the terrorist organization identified as “The Thyrd” managed to detonate a high-impact incendiary device onboard Praemos Station. The plan was to destroy the Singularity Chamber, thereby disengaging the safety protocols and forcing a catastrophic breach. Fortunately, the attack managed to destroy only a section of the containment grid, and the Singularity Drive went into shutdown safety mode. Still, 74 crew and 6 civilian workers were killed in the blast, and two complete operation sectors were destroyed.

The Aragos Space Authority announced that engineers have concluded that Praemos Station was damaged beyond acceptable levels of safety and structural integrity. With the exception of a small skeleton crew, all personnel evacuated.

Stagbury 1 ordered a temporary central command post.

Aragos Space Authority, with the authorization of the Aragos Triumvirate, issues an acceleration order for the development of plans for the construction of a new base station.

1676 – Construction begins on Guardian Point Station, named after the Guardians of the Covenant who initiated and commanded the unified forces against the Army of Baron Kafyrax in the Great Wyrld War.

1677 – The Argos Space Authority announces the construction of an interspace “jump” gate to be operated by the new space station and patrolled by the Black Watch. This Corpesian technology is said to allow vessels to cover vast distances of space through the manipulation of the fabric of space itself. The “Guardian Point” will be powered by the Singularity Drive of the station and will allow exploration and trade to expand the reach of Aragos and its expanded position in the universal community. According to Grand Marshal Garollos of the Space Authority, “This is a time of a spirit renewed. We have walked through the darkness with eyes turned toward the sun. We now reach outward in a gesture of curiosity and hope. Aragos is the home of not only warriors…but also scientists, explorers, and dreamers. What a great beginning.”

1681 – Guardian Point Station brought online, with five of the twelve sectors fully engaged.

1682 – Present Day – Aragos Space Authority announces a public invitation with a limited number of passes to witness the first manned launch of a Wyvern Class long-range exploration vessel. Guardian Point – Rogan 1 Inaugural Launch.
