NIIR SERPENT–CLASS ELITE FIGHTER

Deep Intercept / Blackwatch Strike Craft | Aragos Fleet

ROLE & DOCTRINE

The NIIR SERPENT is not a general-issue fighter. It is deployed when speed matters more than presence, precision matters more than numbers, and witnesses are optional.

Doctrine assumptions:

  • Operates alone or in paired “coil” formations

  • Strikes targets that should not escape

  • Survives by never being where return fire lands

If ARGAGNAM is law, NIIR is judgment.

PROPULSION

Micro-Singularity Core (“The Fang”)

  • Class: Fighter Micro Well

  • Output: Extremely high for mass

  • Bias: Aggressively forward

The Serpent’s singularity is hungry. It is tuned for violent acceleration and rapid vector shifts. Pilots don’t fly it so much as hold on and guide it.

Vector Field Drive Array

Ultra-high-density emitters concentrated along the hull spine. Enables:

  • Instantaneous lateral translation

  • Corkscrew maneuvers

  • Extreme inertia dampening localized to cockpit only

From the outside, the ship looks like it slides rather than turns.

Conventional Thrusters

Minimal, overpowered impulse units. Used for:

  • Emergency braking

  • Atmospheric edge skimming

  • Last-ditch evasion

Short burn, brutal output. Thrusters are not graceful; they are there to save your life.

POWER

Energy Architecture

  • Primary Gel Pack Cluster: Direct-feed to propulsion and weapons

  • Secondary Micro Packs: Cockpit, life support, stealth systems

No long-term redundancy: Space is paid for in mass.

Operational Reality

  • Short mission endurance

  • Enormous burst capability

  • Pilots are expected to return or not at all

DEFENSE

Signature Management

This is where NIIR earns its reputation. It features extremely low emissions, aggressive heat masking, and hull geometry that shreds sensor coherence.

The Serpent is not invisible. It is simply hard to hold in your mind.

Field Shielding: Light Vector Skin

Thin but responsive. Designed to deflect glancing blows and absorb debris or near-misses. Not meant for sustained fire.

Defense philosophy: If shields are holding, you waited too long.

Armor & Structure

  • Minimal composite armor

  • Reinforced cockpit capsule

  • Everything else is optional

Survivability is achieved through avoidance, not endurance.

ARMAMENT

Primary Weapons:

  • Twin Precision Energy Lances

    • Short-range, high-intensity.

    • Designed for

      • cockpit kills

      • engine crippling

      • surgical strikes.

      • Fired in controlled bursts.

One pass. One result.

Secondary Weapons

  • Light Kinetic Cannons

    • Finishing shots

    • Point suppression

  • Micro-Missile Hardpoints

    • Limited payload

    • Used for

      • pursuit denial

      • forced maneuvering

Special Systems

  • Vector Spike Burst

    • Brief gravity-field distortion emitted forward

    • Disrupts

      • enemy aim

      • shield coherence

      • formation integrity.

  • High risk, high payoff.

Used by pilots who trust their reflexes completely.

OPERATIONS

Crew

  • Single pilot

  • Elite selection only

  • Neural load is extreme

Endurance

  • Short-range missions.

  • Designed for rapid deployment from:

    • ARGAGNAM-class cruisers

    • Blackwatch carriers

    • Guardian Point rapid bays.

Maintenance

  • High-touch

  • Precision-tuned.

  • No two airframes feel exactly the same.

IN-WORLD PILOT NOTE

“You don’t dogfight in a NIIR. You decide where the fight ends.”

CANON LOCK
  • Elite single-seat fighter

  • Aggressively biased micro-singularity propulsion

  • Extreme agility, low endurance

  • Surgical strike doctrine over sustained combat
